Need to evaluate and monitor health disparities (HD) data?  Check out the Health Disparities Calculator (HD*Calc).  HD*Calc is statistical software that supports the use of a range of health disparities measures, allowing researchers to select and apply different measures to data.cropped-cropped-toolkit-24157707-copy.jpg

HD*Calc was originally developed to evaluate health disparities related to cancer; however, it may be used with any dataset.  Consequently, HD*Calc may be used in any research discipline. Cross-sectional and trend data categorized by disparity groups (e.g., area-socioeconomic status, race/ethnicity, geographic areas) may be imported into HD*Calc to generate four absolute and seven relative summary measures of disparity. In addition to summary measures, HD*Calc provides pair wise comparisons that allow the user to explore underlying trends in the data.  Results are displayed as tables and charts and may be exported for use in other applications.  Read more details about the Absolute and Relative Disparity Measures in HD*Calc.
